Alexander Gonzalez
I was born January 14, 2010 in San Dimas, California and I am 14 years old. I have lived in Southern California my whole life and I am the youngest in my family. My favorite subjects in school are Math and Science. My teachers tell me I have a natural gift for numbers and engineering as I enjoy problem solving and data. In my early years I began playing baseball and had to opportunity to win regionals on the city All Star team as a catcher. I enjoy playing golf, working on Lego sets and being outside on bikes, skateboards or throwing a football.
I found my love for racing after attending a birthday party at K1 Speed in August of 2016. My first experience was a Kid Kart in February of 2017 and entered my first club race two months later in April. My first podium of 2nd place came four months later in August followed by my 1st place podium win the next month in September. In February of 2018 I joined the Nash Motorsportz team and moved into the Micro Cadet kart where I competed in both LAKC and TriC club series and attended my first SKUSA SuperNationals in Las Vegas, Nevada. During 2019 and 2020 years I competed in the Mini Cadet karts where I finished the LAKC club series championship in 2nd place. During these years I began competing beyond club racing in the SKUSA ProKart series, the ROK Challenge of the Americas series, ROK Vegas and SKUSA SuperNationals. At the start of the 2021 year, I moved into the Junior 100cc category at the age of 11 years old competing with fellow drivers ranging in age 12-15 years old. I won my first National race in February at the ROK Challenge of the Americas. The year continued to be a great year for me as the rookie Junior driver where I went on to win the LAKC and TriC club championships as well as place 3rd in the SKUSA ProKart series championship. In 2023 season, I placed 2nd in the ROK Challenge of the Americas series Championship as well as place 3rd in the SKUSA ProKart series Championship and at the National level with SKUSA series finishing consistently within the top 10. In 2024 I will be moving up into the Senior class category as I continue to push for more podium wins and the pursuit of open wheel racing.
