Ian Hamacher
Ian now 7, is a leap year kid born on Feb 29th 2016 in Cienfuegos, Cuba and holds a Cuban and US citizenship.
He has been Karting for almost 3 years starting at the age of 4.
Ian’s “MyLaps Achievements” details that in his 36 events he has earned 6 wins, 18 podiums, and 23 top 5s.
Not shown in MyLaps are over 20 races in the last 2 years at BMP Bushnell Motorsports Park, of which he has won several in Kids Kart, Micro and Briggs 206 Sportsman classes In Ian’s Micro class rookie year Ian placed 6th in 2022 SSKC Championship, 7th in the 2022 OKC Orlando Cup Championship and 2nd in both of the 2022 ARP Championships.
So far in 2023 OKC Orlando Cup Rd.1 Ian placed 4th, 2nd in ARP Rd 1 and Rd 2, and won the BMP Micro class and placed 2nd in Briggs 206 Sportsman class.
Ian is a 1st Grade Honor Roll student at SLAM Sports Academy in Apollo Beach, FL and practices basketball almost every school-day afternoon in preparation for the SLAM Basketball team.
He is member of the Spurlino YMCA swim team and the Sarasota USA BMX (American Bicycle Association) for the past 2 years.
He has a current SKUSA B Karting license, and has competed in 6 national events placing in the top 20, completing all laps in both Pro Tour races at OKC.
Ian is a very hard and serious racer, practices his Kart racing 2 to 3 times weekly, cold or hot, rain or shine, sick or not.
He is used to operating with hand-me-down used Karts on a shoe-string budget and needs your financial support!
